Job description
Hi! We are Jackie & Joe. We are a outgoing and friendly married couple, whose first child, Charlotte, is 17 months old. We are located in Signal Hill in Calgary (~20 min walk from 69st Street West LRT Station). We are on the lookout for a responsible and caring nanny for Charlotte, for ONE MONTH of June 2026, to cover her existing nanny who will be unavailable for the month of June. We are offering a live-out, full-time position with a pay of $20-$24 per hour (commensurate with experience). Position will be Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM, starting June 1 and ending June 29, 2026. If the candidate wants to work the occasional evening or a few hours on the weekend, that would be welcomed. We would be happy to continue a casual relationship for evening or weekend work post June. Charlotte is 17 month old, as a joyful and curious personality, that sleeps well, enjoys playing, is walking, and eats well. Our Ideal Candidate: - Experience in childcare, including young children, with references - CPR certification is a must - Reliable, organized, and dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing and stimulating and playful environment for our infant - Good communication, attentive, patient and caring, with a love for children, especially an interest in reading, games, play, and fun activities - Young child care & activities (walks, play time, reading, fun games at home, changing diapers, etc) - Candidate will be required to track activities (sleep time, feeding & amounts, etc) in the huckleberry app. - Be able to perform light housekeeping duties during naps (tidying, laundry, dishes, dishwasher, vacuum, etc) and can make some of this household duties a game with Charlotte, and keep her engaged in helping out so she can become more independent - Light meal preparation (basic cleaning, chopping, etc), most of it will be for Charlotte, who is a great eater - Ideal candidate will have access to a personal vehicle (and will be given preference). Ideally candidate will also live close to Calgary public transit to make the commute easier if no personal vehicle is available. Charlotte is a very curious, happy, and joyful baby, and we are excited to have a caring nanny to nurture her alongside us as her parents. We keep her sleeping and feeding structured and she seems to thrive with that structure. Jackie works from home most days, she will be available to ask questions. We have a older male cat (14 years old) who is extremely friendly, loving, and a very easy going pet. We will manage pet care, however someone who likes cats would be considered a bonus.
