Job description
POSITION: Payroll Administrator JOB TYPE: Full Time LOCATION: Sexsmith, Alberta SALARY/WAGE: $26.40-$33.00 per hour JOB SUMMARY: The Agency is assisting Sundown Oilfield Services Ltd. in the recruitment of a Payroll Administrator to join their team. Sundown Oilfield Services Ltd. is a locally owned and operated company specializing in facility and pipeline construction, oilfield maintenance, and pumpjack services in the Grande Prairie area. With strong growth and a well-established reputation for quality workmanship, they are a trusted name in local oilfield projects. This role is responsible for managing full-cycle payroll processing in a fast-paced, office-based environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in handling complex payroll functions with accuracy and confidentiality. RESPONSIBILITIES: Process biweekly and unscheduled payroll accurately and on time using Business Central payroll software Administer payroll systems and complete year-end reporting including T4s and T2200s Respond to internal and external payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner Maintain compliance with all payroll legislation, Employment Standards, and company policies Process ROEs and termination payments within legislated timelines Collect, verify, and process employee timesheets and work hours using Aimsio Maintain accurate payroll records and update employee information as required Troubleshoot payroll software issues and support system improvements Manage complex payroll scenarios involving multiple earnings and adjustments REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 3 years of payroll experience Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation considered an asset Strong knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Business Central and Aimsio considered assets Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and numerical ability Excellent time management and communication skills Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot payroll systems Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines BENEFITS: Competitive Wages Health Benefits JOB POSTING INFORMATION: Submit your resume and cover letter to The Agency at recruiter@theagency212.com.
