As Quality Director, your primary mission within the plant is to lead the Quality and Food Safety strategy, ensure product compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal requirements, and guarantee the effectiveness of the quality management system.

A true partner to Operations, you act as the plant’s quality reference and as the liaison with Yoplait Liberté

Canada’s corporate Quality function, actively contributing to continuous performance improvement and brand protection.

The position is based at our St‑Hyacinthe plant.

What you will accomplish on a daily basis:

• Lead the plant’s Quality and Food Safety team by providing strong functional leadership and contributing to the strategic direction of the Quality function
• Contribute to defining the department’s business objectives by identifying and justifying investments aimed at reducing non‑quality costs and optimizing quality‑related costs
• Maintain and evolve FSSC 22000 certifications while ensuring compliance with regulatory and governmental requirements
• Improve the plant’s quality performance through internal audits, rigorous monitoring of quality indicators, and process improvements
• Effectively manage quality‑related crisis situations, lead problem‑solving groups, implement containment plans in case of non‑conformities, and ensure product release in collaboration with Corporate Quality
• Develop qualification and control plans and participate in defining product, equipment, and packaging specifications in collaboration with technical management and/or R&D teams
• Participate in the review and implementation of the HACCP, GMP, and other quality systems to ensure optimal food safety control
• Develop the Quality team’s skills and expertise through coaching, training, and development plans
• Actively contribute to reducing consumer complaints related to quality
• Support new product development by providing the necessary quality expertise to R&D team
• Develop, manage, and monitor the Quality department budget
• Represent the plant during external audits, government inspections, and customer visits
• Participate in harmonizing practices between Yoplait Liberté Canada and Yoplait France sites

What you need to join our team:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology, Engineering, or any relevant field
• 5 to 10 years of experience managing quality systems in a manufacturing environment
• Relevant experience in the dairy industry (a significant asset)
• Strong command of continuous improvement methods and tools
• Risk management: ability to experiment, assess risks, and make data‑driven recommendations and decisions
• Essential microbiology and physico‑chemical expertise
• Excellent command of French and English, spoken and written (collaboration with external partners in English)
