Reach operator

This is a temporary position with the strong potential for ongoing work, offering a competitive rate of $21/hr for a professional who is ready to start immediately. In this role, your primary focus will be supporting the manufacturing and logistics operations by delivering products to various stations, loading and unloading trailers, and meticulously organizing shipments. We are looking for a Reach Operator who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves; while you will spend a significant amount of time on the machine, there is a manual component to the job involving heavy lifting up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities
• Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments from trailers and delivery vehicles.
• Pick orders accurately using pick sheets or RF scanners to meet daily production targets.
• Deliver raw materials to production lines and move finished goods to the shipping area.
• Organize warehouse inventory to maximize space and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Perform manual heavy lifting of products and materials weighing up to 50 pounds as required.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections on the reach truck to ensure safe operation.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing and logistics team to ensure all shipments are processed on time.
• Document all stock movements and assist with inventory counts when necessary.

Qualifications
Requirements
• Valid experience operating a reach truck (previous internal certification is sufficient).
• Ability to commute to the job site in Guelph for a straight day shift.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Flexibility to assist with manual warehouse tasks beyond equipment operation.
• Steel-toed safety boots and other required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• A positive attitude and a track record of reliability and punctuality.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.
