JOB SUMMARY:

In this dynamic, fast-paced environment, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for shipping/receiving all FPI inventory and merchandise on a regular basis.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Shipping and receiving of all product within ERP system
• Ensure proper packaging and palletizing of product to ensure no loss or damage during shipping
• Accurately account for all merchandise leaving the facility on a daily basis
• Pull product and load/unload trucks safely, efficiently, and accurately
• Perform regular inventory counts as scheduled
• Utilize hand held bar coding system to track the movement of product
• Maintain appropriate levels and when necessary request additional shipping supplies
• Keep a clean and safe warehouse at all times
• Demonstrate courteous, polite, and business-like manner when communicating with customers
• Maintain warehouse equipment in proper and clean working order; including daily forklift inspections
• Maintain professionalism and act in a manner consistent with FPI mission and guiding principles
• Follow all Health & Safety programs; actively participate in Health & Safety training with the purpose of gaining knowledge and understanding
• Contribute to a positive work environment focusing on Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
• Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIFICATIONS:

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge

• Excellent communications skills (written/verbal) in English
• Strong organizational skills; able to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong working knowledge in a variety of computer software programs
• Flexible and willing to work in a changing environment
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours per day)

Education/Training

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Forklift license required

Experience

• Previous experience providing customer service an asset
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in a warehousing capacity

• This position offers a starting wage within the range of $20.58 – $25.72. Total potential earnings also include participation in the annual incentive plan, following your first full calendar year of employment, with earning potential of up to 5% of your annual base salary, if all targets are met.
