If you have experience with product management and a traditional consulting, data and AI, science or engineering background, we want you on our team. In this role, you will collaborate with a global innovation team and be part of the Digital Transformation and Strategy Implementation for Stantec.

The successful candidate is uniquely qualified to leverage cross-functional teams (Assets & Products, Development, Infrastructure, Data & AI, and Operations) and ensure we release assets & products that our internal teams and our customers will get excited about.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the end user’s experience with the digital solution, defining the roadmap through business collaboration and prioritizing based on business needs and value

  • Assist in the development of business cases for potential digital solutions and digital solution features, AI capabilities, and advanced analytics features

  • Build and maintain a transparent, outcome‑focused product roadmap aligned to Stantec’s Strategic Growth Initiatives

  • Deliver effective communication to the end users

  • Translate asset and product strategy into detailed functional and non-functional requirements, prototypes and production deployments

  • Create and refine user stories, personas, storyboards, and prototypes, including AI‑assisted workflows and decision‑support experiences

  • Work with Asset & Product Owners to coordinate, prioritize and oversee backlogs for teams developing solutions across the organization

  • Define and track efficiency metrics such as time saved, cost avoided, throughput increased, or adoption at scale

Asset & Product Discovery, Delivery, and Optimization

  • Partner with solutions architects, AI engineers, and data scientists to ensure products align with enterprise platform principles, governance, and responsible AI practices

  • Collaborate on data lifecycle considerations, including data readiness, explainability, scalability, and operationalization

  • Ensure AI capabilities are production‑ready, trustworthy, and aligned with client and regulatory expectations

  • Work with solutions and applications architects to ensure products meet platform principles

  • Support governance, risk review, and advisory processes for digital and application AI integration initiatives

  • Work with Asset & Product owners to develop pricing and positioning strategies

  • Continuously optimize released products to maximize automation, reuse, and operational impact

  • Support product prioritization by ensuring delivery of features/products that support Stantec’s Strategic Growth Initiatives

  • A passion for developing AI enabled digital solutions that users trust and love

  • Experience applying AI/ML to automate decision-making, document processing, data preparation, or workflow orchestration

  • Hands on experience deploying AI enabled automation into production environments

  • Strong product management fundamentals combined with AI, data, or advanced analytics literacy

  • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms, workflow orchestration, or API-driven automation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences

  • Superior organizational and project management skills in a matrixed, global environment

  • Innate tendency to be curious, positive, and creative

  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization

  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job

  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies, data pipelines, analytics or AI/ML enabled systems

  • Demonstrated success delivering automation or platform products that improved productivity or reduced operational costs

Education and Experience

  • University degrees in Business Administration, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science or another engineering related field

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience implementing go-to-market assets or products processes in an engineering and science product category

  • Experience in the AEC industry or with the target industry/users preferred
