    Duration: 6+ Month Contract Start Date: ASAP Work Arrangement: Hybrid
  • First month fully in office for onboarding and training
  • Thereafter, 2 days per week in office
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours/week Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (flexibility available)

  • About the Opportunity


Our client is experiencing rapid growth, resulting in increased transaction volume across aplex multi-entity environment. To support this expansion, they are adding a third Senior Accountant to a team that recently weed two additional senior-level resources.
This contract opportunity is focused on Fixed Assets, ERP data flows, and process improvement initiatives within a highly regulated environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Assistant Controller, Controller, and VP of Finance, helping ensure financial information flows accurately through Oracle Fusion and into the General Ledger while supporting accounting operations and driving process efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support fixed asset accounting activities, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Review, reconcile, and maintain fixed asset records while ensuringpliance with IFRS and internal controls.
  • Analyze financial data flows between Oracle Fusion modules, subledgers, and the General Ledger.
  • Investigate reconciliation issues, identify discrepancies, and rmend solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Work with operational teams to understand how business transactions impact financial reporting.
  • Review budgets and assess appropriate accounting treatment for capital and operating expenditures.
  • Develop and enhance reporting, reconciliation, and financial analysis tools.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve system utilization.
  • Support audit requests, financial reporting initiatives, and process documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects focused on ERP optimization, data integrity, and financial controls.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of IFRS.
  • Significant experience with account reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Experience working in high-volume transactional environments.
  • Strong understanding of intepany accounting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and large dataset analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
  • Excellentmunication and stakeholder management abilities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP.
  • Fixed asset accounting experience.
  • CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA.
  • Experience in multi-entity or multinational organizations.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, laboratory, or otherplex operational environments.
  • Experience with finance process improvement, automation, and system optimization.

The ideal candidate understands both the accounting and technical sides of financial systems. They can move beyond traditional reconciliations by analyzing how information flows through ERP systems, identifying root causes of discrepancies, and implementing improvements that enhance financial reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, and fixed asset management.
