The successful candidate

will be required to work with minimal direct supervision in a team environment and maintain collegial working relationships. Staff are required to communicate with school principals, school staff and students to ensure minimal disruption to the learning environment. All employees are required to work safely in accordance with WorkSafe B.C. guidelines.In this position, you will:Assist with delivering, handling and preparing job sitesTransport and carry material to work areasEnsure security of material, equipment and toolsMeasure, cut and install various floor coverings and bases, this includes linoleum, floor tile, marmoleum, stair treads, carpets, rubber base, etc.Other job duties as assignedQualifications:Red Seal Certificate (Interprovincial Trades Qualification) for Floor CoveringExtensive knowledge of the various types of commercial floor coverings and installation methodsExperience and knowledge of the appropriate glues and adhesives for installation of floor coverings and basesTraining in the safety procedures required in the use of adhesives for installation of floor coverings and basesAbility to meet the high physical demands of the work.
