Your Impact at LAURIN As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of ICI construction projects, overseeing all phases from pre‑construction through close‑out. Working within a general contracting environment, you will lead multidisciplinary project teams, coordinate consultants and trade partners, and maintain full accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety. This role requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to manage complex projects while fostering client relationships and upholding the company’s operational standards and culture.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring they are meeting quality, budgetary, and timeline targets.
Collaborate with senior management, stakeholders, and department heads to identify resource needs and priorities.
Be fully accountable for project budgets, cost estimates, and forecasts, tracking expenditures and ensuring adherence to project goals.
Oversee project procurement, trade partner selection, and contract negotiations to optimize cost‑efficiency, quality, and relationship management.
Lead project teams, including internal project teams, external stakeholders, and trade partners to ensure clear communication and coordination.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities to assist where required to secure permits and approval related to the project.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, quality, safety and team health.
Prepare monthly project status reports for internal and external stakeholders.Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to handle unforeseen issues and/or delays.
Implement Laurin standard operating processes across all construction projects under oversight.
Supervise the commissioning and handover procedures, guaranteeing that projects meet and exceed client expectations.
Assist with pursuits, pre‑construction planning and bid‑closing.
Conduct post‑project evaluations and lessons‑learned sessions to continuously improve the construction process and knowledge transfer.
Mentor, coach and give feedback to direct reports.
Provide guidance and coaching to manager on performance related matters.
Be a brand ambassador and Laurin cultural leader.
Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience leading ICI projects.
Proficient in the use of MS Office, MS Project, Primavera, Adobe‑Pro, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Strong knowledge of labour laws and regulations. Experience with construction‑specific HR challenges such as union relations and safety compliance is highly desirable.
Exceptional leadership and people management abilities.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Education & Professional Credentials
Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related experience.
Professional certifications such as P.Eng, PMP, LEED, are considered assets.
Security Clearance
Reliability Status required (Secret preferred) or the ability and willingness to obtain the appropriate clearance.
Estimated Compensation The salary range for this role is $100,000 — $130,000, based on experience and qualifications.
