The Mechanic position is located in Meaford at the Army Training Centre – Central and typically reports directly to the Repair Supervisor. Their primary focus is repairing automotive and heavy equipment, small engines, buses and miscellaneous equipment.

Proficient knowledge and understanding of:
*Must be able to achieve and maintain a Government of Canada Security Clearance- continuous residency in Canada for the last 10 years is a mandatory requirement.*

Individuals who successfully complete the interview process and do not already hold a valid security clearance will be sponsored for Secret Security Clearance. To obtain a Secret Security Clearance from the Government of Canada, applicants must undergo a comprehensive 10-year background check. This includes financial and criminal record checks, as well as a security assessment conducted by the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS). Applicants will be required to provide detailed information covering the past 10 years, including employment, education, and residency history. For this reason, continuous residency in Canada for the last 10 years is a mandatory requirement.
