  • Developing and enhancing rating systems and pricing methodologies
  • Supporting regulatory rate filings and related actuarial documentation

  • Building and maintaining forecasting and predictive models to support business planning
  • Compiling and analyzing data to support reinsurance programs and strategic decision-making
  • Supporting product pricing in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Preparing insights and reports for executive leadership
  • Monitoring industry trends and providing actionable insights to management
  • Participating in internal committees and cross-functional initiatives as required
  • Presenting complex model outputs in a clear, business-focused manner to non-technical stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

  • Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science or a related quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, etc.)
  • 2+ CAS exams completed
  • 4+ years of Property & Casualty actuarial experience
  • Strong experience in commercial lines pricing
  • Advanced technical skills in Excel; experience with SQL and R strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into clear business insights
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Canada
  • Experience with Guidewire considered an asset
  • ACAS/FCAS designation considered an asset
  • Experience with Radar and/or machine learning techniques considered an asset
  • Ability to work from an office location in Western Canada considered an asset

What You’ll Experience

  • Competitive base salary with annual bonus eligibility
  • Salary range: $85,000 – $110,000 (BC Pay Transparency range, where applicable)
  • Flexible hybrid work environment, with remote options for the right candidate
  • Additional paid time off benefits, including a recurring scheduled day off every four weeks
  • Employer contributions to a registered pension plan
  • Personal insurance reimbursement program
  • Regular social and team engagement events throughout the year
