Job description

Department: Sustainability

Reports to: VP, Sustainability

Location: North Vancouver, BC / Portland, OR

Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Director of Sustainability Transformation, you will join a capable and committed team driving the Sustainability agenda across Arc’teryx, globally. In this role, you will develop and orchestrate the sustainability governance processes, lead program management and drive cross-functional projects, leveraging your strategic toolbox and execution muscle. This is truly a unique opportunity to join a stellar brand at a pivotal moment in its growth journey, with ambitions to catalyze change with and for the industry.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and governance, ensuring that long-term transformation initiatives are delivered consistently, efficiently, and in alignment with business priorities. You will work hands-on with our Sustainability and Supply Chain teams; and engage a broad cast of internal and Amer Group stakeholders to enable and support delivery of our key strategic pillars for sustainability – Climate, Circularity and Worker Well Being.

This role is based in North Vancouver, BC or Portland, OR and open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada or the United States.

Meet Your Future Team:

Our Sustainability team is part of the broader Business Enablement organization. We collaborate across departments and with partners at Arc'teryx and Amer Sports to deliver meaningful progress towards our priority KPIs.

If you were the Director, Sustainability Transformation now, here are some of the core activities you would be leading:

  • Integrating sustainability priorities with enterprise strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term growth ambitions, brand positioning, and operational roadmaps
  • Leading cross-functional coordination, aligning priorities, timelines, and dependencies
  • Translating sustainability strategy into measurable operational outcomes, with accountability for tracking, reporting, and continuously improving performance indicators
  • Defining and maintaining program governance, including steering routines, decision frameworks, and risk management
  • Contributing to the strategic growth of sustainability services
  • Providing leverage to the key strategic pillars for sustainability
  • Supporting change management and transparency (internally and externally)

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Collaborating with business partners to identify opportunities to integrate sustainability into core business processes
  • Structuring and leading working groups to drive cross-functional projects
  • Supporting the Sustainability VP on strategic priorities and critical deliverables
$167,000 - $205,000 a month

The salary range for this role is CAD$167,000–CAD$205,000

Most new team members join between the start and midpoint of the range, where you can contribute right away while continuing to grow your craft, your collaborations, and your impact at Arc’teryx. This range reflects market alignment and the scope of the role. Individual pay is determined by your skills, experience, and level of responsibility.

We’re committed to fair, equitable, and competitive pay, reviewed regularly to ensure internal alignment and market relevance. Transparency is part of how we follow through on our commitments and how we honour the value you bring to our team.

In addition to base pay, Arc’teryx supports people through benefits designed to sustain both work and life:

  • Health & wellbeing - Extended health, dental, and vision coverage, including mental health support, fertility benefits, gender-affirming care and a 24/7 Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Financial wellbeing - RRSP matching and eligibility for Arc'teryx Annual Incentive Plan and access to Employee Stock Purchase program (ESPP) where applicable.
  • Time & Flexibility - Paid time off, wellness time, and No Wasted Day program (dedicated paid days to get outside & explore).
  • Family support - Parental leave top-up and a nesting period for new parents.
  • Growth, community & gear - Professional development opportunities, Arc'teryx Academies (outdoor skill-building events), Employee Belonging Councils, and access to employee discounts and Pro Deals (exclusive discounted pricing on gear).

*Eligibility for certain programs may vary by role.
