Job description

We are a family seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and empathetic caregiver/nanny to support our son with special developmental needs. He is a 25-year-old male with a boyish appearance (similar to an 8–10 year old in height and weight). He is calm, cheerful, and non-aggressive. He can walk independently within the home at a slow pace. He is non-verbal and fully dependent on assistance with daily needs, similar to toddler-level care. He responds best to a gentle, calm, and soothing approach, and benefits from patience, repetition, and structured routines. A stroller is used only for outdoor walks or outings. ⸻ Responsibilities * Engage and play with him in a safe and caring manner * Take him to the nearby park or short outings * Feed meals by spoon * Prepare and puree meals (batch preparation as needed) * Diaper changing and hygiene support * Assist with brushing teeth and daily care * Toilet training support (supervised sitting as part of routine training) * Support simple communication training (using switches/buttons for needs) * Supervise or assist while walking and using stairs * Light housekeeping (cleaning, organizing, laundry) ⸻ Schedule Options * Part-time (live-out): evenings (5–9 pm) weekends * Full-time live-in available immediately for suitable candidate * Open to starting part-time with potential to transition to full-time * Part-time hours may be shared depending on availability * Full-time role will be with one dedicated caregiver * Long-term commitment preferred ⸻ Ideal Candidate * Compassionate, patient, and reliable * Comfortable with hands-on caregiving * Willing to learn and follow structured routines * Able to repeat tasks consistently for developmental support * Experience is helpful but not required (training can be provided) * No heavy lifting required ⸻ Additional * Basic safety awareness/first aid is an asset (guidance can be provided) * Preference for candidates living within 10–15 km Please visit https://sitter.com/jobs/parttime-nanny-babbysitter-no-sponsorship-job-richmond-hill-on to view full details and to apply.
