Job Overview
Responsible in the South Western Ontario, for the sales of utility business unit products and services. Responsible for working with utilities, consultants, engineers, utility contractors and distribution in furthering the specifications and sales of Hubbell Utility products. Development of strong relationships with the end users, distributors and contractors to secure loyalty and product preference for Hubbell products, and to close projects.
A Day In The Life
Develop & Maintain Relationships
- Develop a strong network of Utility end users, contractors & specifiers
- Attend & maintain strong relationships at industry networking groups
- Apply product features & benefits to provide value add solutions
Grow Sales
- Close utility project business w/core customers
- Manager the sales cycle on projects, from specification to successful order placement
- Execute promotional, training & new product initiatives w/utility end users, distribution and contractors
- Understand market segments & verticals opportunities & penetrate them
- Introduce new product features & benefits to provide value add solutions to customers & increase sales
- Support price realization in the marketplace
Be a Resource to our Customers
- Learn the competitive advantages of our products & leverage them
- Understand our competitive strengths & weaknesses
- Provide High Service & Fast Responses to inquiries
Represent Hubbell professionally
- Integrity & Ethics
- Professional Image under all circumstances
- Participate in &/or lead industry associations, tradeshows & events
Metrics & Reporting
- Daily, weekly, monthly as required
- Performance to quota planning & execution
- Track customer & sales activities in Sales Force
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (Business, Technical Discipline).
- 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Utility experience will be an asset.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Valid Driver’s license required.
- 40 to 60% Travel required within Ontario.

The expected salary for this position is $77,000 – $114,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Please note this range reflects base salary only. Total compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package, pension plan, and may include other incentives. This posting is for a new position.
