Bilingual Collections Representative (FR/EN)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate compassion and empathy for our customers by understanding their situations, needs, and offering solutions.
• Perform outbound calls to collect on overdue accounts by negotiating appropriate repayment plans with customers.
• Support operations by managing customer accounts and collection activities on delinquent/past-due accounts of financial loans.
• Engage in negotiations with customers and explore financial resources to secure the optimal arrangement.
• Complete initial trace work using online tools and account systems.
• Document collections activities and processes through strong administration skills.

Qualifications

• Fully bilingual in English and French
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a collections, sales, or customer service or call center/contact center role
• Experience with using an automated dialer system is an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to multi-task; adaptability to changes in a fast-paced environment
• Competency in MS Office (Word, Excel); ability to learn new software applications
• Able to pass background checks (criminal, employment, and credit)
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada on a full-time basis at the time of application; we are not able to provide sponsorship

Hours of Operation

• Night Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Rotating mid-shift: Week 1 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM; Week 2 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Occasional Saturday work (Day Shift only)

We are offering a starting wage of $22.00/hour CAD for this role, plus the opportunity to earn monthly bonuses.
