The Department
The Practical Nurse and Health Care Aide Department is within the School of Health and provides quality instruction and learning experiences for students completing their Practical Nurse Diploma or Health Care Aide Certificate. Housed in the state of the art Health Education Centre and located inside the award winning Grande Prairie Regional Hospital (GPRH), students benefit from smaller class sizes coupled with high-quality personalized instruction on-site at GPRH, ensuring ample opportunities for the learners of our region and students from across Canada and around the world.
The Role
The Practical Nurse and Health Care Aide department is seeking four full-time instructors to teach sections from both the Practical Nurse and Health Care Aide programs. The successful applicants may commence in either August or December 2026, depending on workload assignment. Contract dates will reflect program delivery timelines, typically August 15, 2026 - April 30, 2027 or December 14, 2026 - August 30, 2027. These are tenure-track positions based upon favourable evaluations and budget. Interested candidates are welcome to contact Human Resources to discuss appointment dates and the tenure track process.
