We are a family in Oakville, Ontario, seeking approximately 30 hours of childcare per week during the after school/after camp hours and up until bed time. We are looking for someone who is available to start in late April/early May and can continue until late August/early September. You must be able to drive and will be given access to a car. Our children Adeline and Lukas are 7 and 9 years old respectively. We are open to both live-in and live-out arrangements, depending on what works best for you - we are open to someone from anywhere in Canada to come and join us for the summer, or someone local! Your responsibilities will include picking up the kids from school/camp each day, providing them with dinner, and then taking them to evening activities as applicable (camp, piano lessons, etc). We have a pool and would require someone who is a strong swimmer. Some weeks will require a different routine depending on camp hours and registrations or if the kids are going to be at home, so some flexibility in hours would be appreciated. At minimum, you will always be guaranteed 30 hours of paid time per week. Your wage will be $17.60 per hour. If you live in with us, we will deduct $50/wk for room and board.
