Position Overview Priority Worldwide is seeking a dynamic and strategic Operations Manager to help lead our freight forwarding, brokerage, and value-added services division in our Montreal office. This role will be responsible for overseeing operational, financial, and commercial aspects of the branch, ensuring performance excellence across air, ocean, and domestic transportation services. Reporting to senior leadership, the Operations Manager will drive sales growth, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and team development. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing import/export operations, compliance requirements, carrier relationships, consolidators, and domestic transportation providers, while also contributing to business development and customer retention. This individual will champion continuous improvement, leverage technology and internal systems, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.

Basic Duties

  • Review, revise and implement all operation processes to ensure the Ultimate Customer Experience
  • Remain up-to-date DG, TSA, FMS, as well as other regulations as required
  • Will need the ability to handle individual shipments (import/export/domestic) as needed
  • Direct active involvement with staff and management to ensure a cohesive work environment
  • Ensure staff motivation and provide coaching to enhance their ability and skill level
  • Ensure the assigned teams are working effectively, clients are responded to quickly, and established processes are being followed.
  • Manage staff workload and distribution of tasks, including active participation in tasks to ensure timely/accurate completion.
  • Ability to assist in the finalization of sales/contracts and fostering strong customer retention.
  • Provide and ensure constant compliance with Priority Worldwide' s mission to ensure The Ultimate Customer Experience

Basic Requirements

  • Proven experience leading full branch-level operations with end-to-end accountability
  • Minimum 7+ years of direct Air & Ocean import/export experience
  • At least 7+ years of department-level or senior management experience with direct responsibility for teams, performance, and operational outcomes
  • Strong track record of operational leadership, team management, and decision-making in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment
  • Bilingual in French and English (required)
  • Strong systems proficiency; CargoWise experience preferred
  • Customs Broker License is a strong asset but not required
  • Must be able to work on-site in the Montreal office
  • Must have valid authorization to work in Canada (no visa sponsorship, relocation support, or remote work available)

Please note: This position is open to candidates currently based in the Greater Montreal Area. A minimum of 7 years of hands-on freight forwarding experience with a freight forwarder is required. Only applicants who meet both criteria will be considered.

Benefits and Compensation Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons

  • Base Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 CAD (depending on experience)
  • Supplemental Benefits Package: Extended Health, Life
  • Paid Time Off: 2 Weeks Vacation + 5 Personal Days + up to 3 Volunteer Days
  • RRSP & DPSP Retirement Plan with 3% company matching

Aperçu du poste Priority Worldwide est à la recherche d'un(e) Gestionnaire des opérations dynamique et stratégique pour contribuer à la direction de notre division de transit, courtage et services à valeur ajoutée à notre bureau de Montréal. Ce poste sera responsable de superviser les aspects opérationnels, financiers et commerciaux de la succursale, en assurant l'excellence des performances dans les services de transport aérien, maritime et domestique. Relevant de la haute direction, le/la Gestionnaire des opérations stimulera la croissance des ventes, l'efficacité opérationnelle, la conformité réglementaire et le développement des équipes. Le/la candidat(e) idéal(e) possède une vaste expérience dans la gestion des opérations d'importation/exportation, des exigences de conformité, des relations avec les transporteurs, des groupages (consolidateurs) et des transporteurs domestiques, tout en contribuant au développement des affaires et à la fidélisation de la clientèle. Cette personne sera un moteur d'amélioration continue, saura tirer parti des technologies et des systèmes internes, et favorisera une culture de responsabilisation, de collaboration et d'excellence du service.

Responsabilités Principales

  • Réviser, optimiser et mettre en œuvre l'ensemble des processus opérationnels afin d'assurer une expérience client exceptionnelle
  • Maintenir à jour les connaissances relatives aux réglementations DG, TSA, FMS ainsi qu'aux autres exigences applicables
  • Être en mesure de gérer des expéditions individuelles (import/export/domestique) au besoin
  • S'impliquer activement auprès du personnel et de la direction afin d'assurer un environnement de travail harmonieux Assurer la motivation du personnel et offrir du coaching pour développer leurs compétences
  • Veiller à ce que les équipes assignées travaillent efficacement, que les clients reçoivent des réponses rapides et que les processus établis soient respectés
  • Gérer la charge de travail et la répartition des tâches, incluant une participation active afin d'assurer l'exactitude et le respect des délais
  • Contribuer à la finalisation des ventes et des contrats et favoriser une forte rétention de la clientèle
  • Veiller au respect constant de la mission de Priority Worldwide afin d'assurer une expérience client exceptionnelle

Exigences

  • Expérience avérée dans la gestion complète des opérations de succursale avec une responsabilité de bout en bout
  • Minimum de 7+ années d'expérience directe en import/export aérien et maritime
  • Au moins 7+ années d'expérience en gestion de département ou en gestion de niveau supérieur, avec une responsabilité directe sur des équipes, la performance et les résultats opérationnels
  • Solide expérience en leadership opérationnel, gestion d'équipe et prise de décision dans un environnement de transit international dynamique
  • Bilingue français et anglais (obligatoire)
  • Bonne maîtrise des systèmes; expérience de CargoWise souhaitée
  • Permis de courtier en douane est un atout important mais non obligatoire
  • Doit être en mesure de travailler sur place au bureau de Montréal
  • Doit avoir l'autorisation légale de travailler au Canada (aucun parrainage de visa, aide à la relocalisation ou travail à distance disponible)

Avantages et rémunération Les conditions de rémunération individuelles sont établies en fonction de plusieurs facteurs propres à chaque candidat(e), notamment les compétences, l'expérience, les qualifications et d'autres éléments liés au poste.

  • Salaire de base : 100 000 $ à 140 000 $ CAD (selon l'expérience)
  • Avantages sociaux complémentaires : assurance santé étendue, assurance vie
  • Congés payés : 2 semaines de vacances + 5 journées personnelles + jusqu'à 3 journées de bénévolat
  • Régime d'épargne-retraite (REER) et régime de participation différée aux bénéfices (RPDB) avec contribution de l'employeur jusqu'à 3 %
