You are an experienced Horizontal Directional Driller specializing in utility construction and maintenance, with a strong background in telecommunications. You consistently deliver safe, efficient drilling operations while supporting the installation, repair, and upkeep of critical underground infrastructure.
Essential Responsibilities
- Performs box locating, directional drilling, installation of conduits for various cables, installation of pedestals and concrete bases, flush mount vaults and enclosures.
- Safely operates directional drilling equipment and locating tools.
- Coordinates drilling activities with other activities, positioning or moving of loads and conducts in response to hand or audio signals from team members.
- Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following policies, CVOR guidelines, and always acting in a safe manner.
- Completes all required paperwork daily.
- Handles and distributes construction materials, loading and unloading vehicles with supplies, equipment, and removes all debris from work sites.
Qualifications
- Must have previous directional drilling/locating experience.
- Previous experience in telecommunications is an asset.
- Must have and maintain a valid AZ driver’s license.
- Must have and maintain a clean driver’s abstract and CVOR.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Work Conditions
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.).
- Applicants that reside in Belleville will be given preference due to the location of this project.
- Some travel will be required to site and/or other office locations.
Compensation
$32.37 - $40.26 per hour
This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.
Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
