Survalent is seeking for a .NET/Web Software Developer to join the Outage Management System (OMS) Development team. The OMS team delivers a high-performance system that enables utilities to efficiently track outages, reduce outage downtime, and safely guide field crews through restoration efforts, while keeping customers informed in real time.

Key Responsibilities
- Work within the Agile development team to design, develop, and deliver various RESTful APIs and web applications for OMS.
- Collaborate with the Product team and other teams to create innovative software solutions and enhance the functionality.
- Optimize applications by applying expertise in debugging, code analysis, and performance profiling.
- Design web application client-side and server-side architecture.
- Ensure front-end code is mobile-friendly (i.e. responsive) and intuitive for users.
- Develop and manage well-functioning databases while safeguarding the sensitive data.
- Design and create test procedures and, test data to go along with the delivered feature.
- Execute testing to ensure the software meets functional requirements and is responsive and scalable.
- Trouble-shoot software issues with an aim to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Write technical documentation such as HLD documents and API swagger documentation.
- Provide support and product knowledge to end users and internal stakeholders.
- Drive technical standards, best practices, and support a culture of continuous improvement.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies:
- Degree from a University in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5 years of Full-Stack Developer Experience in the following:
- Frontend: Experience with React, covering both UI design and business logic implementation
- Backend : Proficient in C#, ASP.NET Core Web API (RESTful API), Microservices, Identity Authentication, and Real-time communication with SignalR/Web Sockets
- Database: Skilled in SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis
- Cloud : Experience with Cloud (Azure/AWS/Google) deployment and infrastructure
- Data Processing: Adept at developing complex, high-performance data processing plugins to support backend server operations, ORM
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency with the Microsoft suite of technologies including server infrastructure, .NET based development tools, programming languages and MS SQL Server RDBMS.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design concepts and patterns
- Experience with multi-threading, web optimization (caching, load balancing) and other performance related design constructs.
- Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information verbally and in writing
- Excellent collaborative, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Git, Jira, and Confluence, or similar infrastructure tools.
Assets
- Experience using C++, Visual Studio and developer frameworks including WPF, Windows Forms, MVVM, Windows/Worker Services
- Experience within a spatial/geographic problem set and knowledge of tiled map libraries (e.g. Open Layers, Open Street Map, Bing, Google).
- Experience with storing and retrieving encrypted data
- Familiarity developing real-time software applications.
- Experience and knowledge of Docker containers.
This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Team Lead of OMS. The salary range for this role is $100,000–$120,000. Interested candidates are invited to submit their cover letter and resume.
