RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position summary
Department / Research Program: IDIGH
Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the incumbent will be responsible for providing logistical and administrative support to the team’s research activities and projects. The incumbent will act as a resource and contact person between the research team and various RI-MUHC departments.
General Duties
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the laboratory,
• Organize, distribute, and verify the work of others and participate in their training,
• Establish priorities and schedules of projects, and coordinate execution of projects and service,
• Prepare quotations, administer accounts, and prepare budget proposals, purchase and payment requisitions,
• Develop procedures and make recommendations to improve unit efficiency,
• Organize lab projects ,
• Help prepare budgets and upload grant administration documents ,
• Help format manuscripts and submit them,
• Arrange lab meetings ,
• Coordinate meetings with international sites,
• Act as resource person, resolve problems and instruct others.

Work Experience: 6 months to 1 year
Required Skills
• This position requires an advanced knowledge of written French.
• An intermediate knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular contact, as well as processing specific information, with researchers or international students who are exclusively proficient in English.
