How You Will Make an Impact
We are currently seeking a Manager of Program Services to oversee the day-to-day operations of key programs at HOMES. Reporting to the Director, this leadership role is responsible for driving program success, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care.
The Senior Manager provides support and supervision to Program Managers, supports staff development, and plays a key role in coaching, performance management, recruitment, and retention. You will ensure effective communication, support the effective and timely resolution of client or staff concerns, and foster a culture aligned with Good Shepherd's mission and values. This role also involves participating in external meetings with sector partners and funders and serving as back-up to the Director when needed.
Primary functions include leading and supporting interdisciplinary teams operating in Hamilton and the Niagara Region, improving quality of care through evidence-based practices, developing tools for collaboration and data tracking, monitoring budgets, and guiding leadership staff across all assigned programs. Flexibility is required, including occasional evening or weekend work and participation in an on-call rotation.

What You Will Bring to Our Team
- Degree or diploma in social or health sciences from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated experience in serving people impacted by homelessness, mental health issues, addiction, poverty, trauma, social isolation and other intersecting marginalizations
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in progressive leadership roles involving staff supervision/coaching, performance management, program operations, and community development
- Ability to manage the accurate collection of clinical information and data as required by Good Shepherd Non-Profit Homes, funding agencies and applicable legislation
- Deep understanding of housing legislation and supportive housing operations
- Demonstrated ability to identify and respond to risk, manage complex case strategies, creatively solve problems, and to lead in a decisive manner
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of community resources, social determinants of health, and relevant evidence-informed practices
- Experience in leading and/or supporting CQI and/or accreditation activities
- Committed to working within anti-racist/anti-oppressive, culturally competent, trauma-informed, and harm reduction frameworks
- Experience in program development, service evaluation, and effective community collaboration
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and case management skills
- Valid driver's license, access to reliable vehicle, and ability to regularly travel throughout the Hamilton and Niagara communities
- Fluency in language(s) in addition to English is an asset
- Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety practices and commitment to the Mission and Values of Good Shepherd Non-Profit Homes
