DESIGN CENTRE EXPERIENCE MANAGER
Location: Vancouver, BC
Type: Permanent Full-time/In-office
Salary Range: $90-100K Base Salary + $10K Performance-based Bonus

ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is launching a first-of-its-kind, design-forward showroom experience—a destination created exclusively for the interior design community and their clients. This is not a traditional retail environment. It’s a curated, immersive space where design, hospitality, and commerce intersect.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
They are seeking a Design Centre Experience Manager to lead this flagship location—someone who thrives at the intersection of leadership, aesthetics, and business performance. This individual will shape not just how the space operates, but how it feels, functions, and inspires. The ideal candidate is also:

THE OPPORTUNITY
A rare opportunity to build something exceptional from the ground up. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role with the mandate to define and deliver an exceptional showroom experience while building a strong, engaged design community around it.
You’ll act as both business leader and brand ambassador, owning everything from team performance and client experience to visual presentation and commercial success. What You’ll Lead Create a Destination Experience
  • Shape and continuously evolve a premium, highly curated showroom journey
  • Ensure the space is visually striking, intuitive to navigate, and effortless to engage with
  • Translate brand vision into a tangible, elevated in-person experience
Build & Inspire a High-Performing Team
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a team that delivers polished, knowledgeable, and warm service
  • Establish clear expectations and uphold a culture of accountability, professionalism, and hospitality
  • Provide real-time coaching to ensure a consistently exceptional client experience
Engage & Grow the Design Community
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with designers, architects, and industry partners
  • Host events and activations that position the showroom as a hub within the design community
  • Act as a credible voice in the industry, staying ahead of trends and market insights
Curate a Best-in-Class Environment
  • Oversee merchandising, displays, and product storytelling with a highly trained design eye
  • Ensure the showroom reflects a premium, design-led brand at every touchpoint
  • Maintain a space that inspires confidence, creativity, and exploration
Drive Commercial Performance
  • Own showroom results including sales, conversion, and repeat business
  • Manage pipeline, client follow-up, and project flow with clarity and precision
  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer journey, consultation quality, and close rates
Champion Operational Excellence
  • Establish and refine processes, systems, and service standards
  • Ensure seamless day-to-day operations—from appointments to sample management
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen execution and elevate performance

WHAT YOU BRING
  • 5+ years leading a premium showroom, retail, or design-driven client experience
  • A background in interior design or a related field, with a strong design eye
  • Proven success in team leadership, coaching, and performance management
  • A deep understanding of customer journey, consultative selling, and service excellence
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance experience and results
  • Confidence working with CRM systems, reporting tools, and operational processes
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to build structure and drive improvement
