Job description
HireArt is helping our client find a Wire Harness Technician to support the manufacture of prototype wire harnesses and electrical assemblies.
In this role, you’ll perform wiring reworks on existing vehicles and test assets. You will work together with many different teams, delivering feedback and balancing multiple different projects in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate has experience with diagnostic tools, power supplies, and oscilloscopes, as well as IPC-620 Certification or wire harness manufacturing experience. You bring strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of electrical circuits and networks.
As a Wire Harness Technician, you'll:
Manufacture and rework large and small wiring harnesses.
Build complex electrical components with minimal instructions.
Assist in root cause analysis and repair of components returned from the field or testing.
Provide feedback to engineering on new assemblies.
Balance multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
Regularly organize and maintain your workspace.
Ensure correct use of PPE at all times.
Requirements
- 5+ years related experience or an Associates degree and 2 years of work experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Detail oriented mindset and a drive to deliver a high level quality to every project
- Ability to understand technical diagrams, schematics, wirelists and formboards
- Comfortable with specialized hand and power tools
- Experience with diagnostic tools, SMT/PTH soldering, DVOM, power supplies, and oscilloscopes
- Strong problem-solving skills
- IPC-620 Certification or wire harness manufacturing experience
Bonus Qualifications:- ASE certifications
- EPA 609 certification
- Basic Solidworks/ CATIA experience
- Automotive high-voltage experience or training
- Fabrication experience

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.
