Job description
We are currently seeking a Boat Technician – Electrical to join a well-established marine manufacturing facility in Delta, BC. This operation specializes in the design and production of high-performance rigid-hull inflatable boats (RHIBs) used by military, coast guard, law enforcement, and commercial marine sectors worldwide.

As the only Canadian site within a global network—and the second largest facility globally—this location plays a key role in delivering custom, mission-ready vessels built to ISO 9001 quality standards and distributed internationally.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on marine electrical experience and is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a collaborative, deadline-driven manufacturing environment.

Position Title: Boat Technician – Electrical
Location: Delta, BC
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Position
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Shift: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Pay Rate: $28.00/hr – $30.00/hr (based on experience)
WHMIS Certification mandatory to be considered for this role.
Assets: ABYC Certification, Electrical Certification
Eligibility: You are located in and legally permitted to work full-time in British Columbia

Responsibilities
Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
Install and assemble marine electrical systems (12V DC, 120/140 shore power)
Wire AC/DC control panels, circuit breakers, relays, and converters
Install battery chargers, lighting systems, heating, A/C units, and generators
Install and maintain navigation and communication systems
Test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic circuits
Interface and integrate electronic systems within boat consoles
Use hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks within timelines
Ensure all work meets ISO quality and workmanship standards
Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and engineers
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Complete required documentation and support additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of marine electrical experience (required)
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience with 12V DC and 120/140 shore power systems
WHMIS certified
Knowledge of navigation and communication systems (asset)
Experience working in a manufacturing environment (asset)
Ability to use hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Capable of working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Steel Toes are a must for this role
You are required to have your own set of hand tools
