Job description
Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Pembroke, Ontario Permanent Part-Time | 0.6 FTE $37.59 – $51.98/hour (open to discussion) Prosperity(Fluid) Workforce Solutions is hiring on behalf of a hospital in Pembroke, ON. We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join a dynamic Diagnostic Imaging team within a reputable regional hospital. About the Role As a Sonographer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will perform ultrasound examinations, produce accurate diagnostic images, and support patient care through professional and compassionate service. Key Responsibilities Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetrical, and gynecological scans Ensure high-quality image acquisition and proper documentation of technical observations Archive and verify imaging in PACS systems Prepare and explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and confidentiality Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals regarding findings Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure a clean, safe working environment Coordinate with clinical teams to support efficient patient flow and care delivery Participate in on-call/standby duties as required Support students and learners in the clinical environment when applicable Qualifications & Requirements Current registration with Sonography Canada (CRGS designation required) Experience in abdominal, obstetrical, and gynecological ultrasound გამოცდილ with PACS systems and diagnostic imaging workflows Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare diagnostic imaging setting Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development Assets: Experience in vascular, musculoskeletal (MSK), shoulder, Doppler, or cardiac imaging Bilingualism (English/French) Working Conditions Rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call Physically demanding role requiring patient positioning and equipment handling Fast-paced environment with both scheduled and urgent cases Why Apply?
