Health and Privacy Law Counsel

Drive legal strategy in health and privacy law as a Senior Associate Counsel. Provide comprehensive legal advice, negotiate agreements, and manage risk in a municipal law context while engaging with Regional departments.

In this impactful role, you will support Regional Council and related entities with a focus on health and privacy issues. You’ll negotiate contracts, offer procedural guidance, and develop risk management strategies. Experience in health law and teamwork is essential, along with a deep understanding of relevant legislation and legal practices.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide legal advice on applicable legislation
• Negotiate and draft agreements for municipal services
• Advise on health law and privacy law matters
• Offer risk management advice and strategies
• Attend meetings with departmental and external partners

Requirements :

• L.L.B. or J.D. from an accredited university
• Membership in the Law Society of Ontario
• 5+ years in health and privacy law required
• Knowledge of privacy laws essential
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities
