ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a full-time, in-office Operations Supervisor position, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the business.
This is a hands-on leadership role that spans multiple departments, including warehouse operations, purchasing, customer service, and basic accounting support. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, improving processes, and stepping in where needed across the business.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable balancing leadership responsibilities with day-to-day operational involvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations & Oversight
- Oversee daily operations across customer service, purchasing, and warehouse functions
- Ensure processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed and continuously improved
- Act as a backup across key functions to maintain business continuity
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Supervise warehouse operations including receiving, inventory, and shipping
- Manage and support warehouse staff on a day-to-day basis
- Implement and enforce SOPs to drive efficiency and accuracy
- Oversee inventory control, including cycle counts and full inventory audits
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards
- Step in operationally during busy periods or staffing gaps as required
Purchasing & Customer Service
- Provide support and backup to purchasing and order entry functions
- Oversee customer service processes to ensure smooth order flow and client satisfaction
Staff Management
- Manage scheduling, time-off requests, and day-to-day team coordination
- Lead performance management, including check-ins, reviews, and coaching
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of operations and warehouse staff
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
Systems & Administration
- Act as the main point of contact for office equipment and systems, liaising with external IT support
- Ensure operational systems are functioning effectively and support process improvements
Financial Support
- Support coordination between purchasing and accounting functions
- Provide backup support for accounts receivable and accounts payable as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in operations, office management, or a similar role
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Skills & Attributes
- Strong organizational and leadership capabilities
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, NetSuite, SAP)
- Solid understanding of inventory management, purchasing, and basic accounting processes
- Hands-on approach with the ability to step into operational tasks when required
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
COMPENSATION
- Salary: $65,000 – $75,000
- Full-time, in-office role (Monday–Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm)
