What is in it for you:
• Salaried: $40-50 per hour.
• Incorporated Business Rate: $52-62 per hour.
• 8-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Remote on Monday and Friday.
• On-site Tuesday to Thursday.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct and monitor compliance testing, audits, and investigations to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Review and interpret new and existing regulatory requirements to maintain organizational compliance.
• Track, assess, and communicate regulatory changes and emerging risks to relevant stakeholders.
• Advise management on appropriate actions required to meet compliance obligations.
• Support responses to client escalations by researching issues and compiling detailed findings.
• Collaborate with business, compliance, and control function partners across multiple areas.
• Update regulatory documentation, including policies, procedures, and standard operating documents.
• Stay informed on local and global regulatory developments impacting the organization.
• Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for stakeholders and senior audiences.
• Maintain accurate documentation to support audits, governance reviews, and internal controls.
What you will need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent education.
• 3–4 years of experience in compliance, regulatory, or financial services environments.
• Strong ability to interpret and apply complex legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in risk assessment, compliance testing, or audit-related activities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent business writing and report preparation skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Effective stakeholder communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, or policy development is considered an asset.
• Exposure to change management or presentations to senior management is an asset.
