The Role GrizzlyTrek is seeking one Class 1 Driver to join our valued client's team in Fort St.

John, BC.

This is a full-time, permanent position focused on operating heavy-duty vehicles and equipment to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely and efficiently.

The successful candidate will operate wet vat trucks, trailers, tankers, combo units, and hydrovacs, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.

This role emphasizes safety-first operations, equipment maintenance, and accurate handling of materials while communicating with dispatch and performing routine inspections.

What You'll Do Operate and drive heavy-duty equipment to and from work sites, including wet vat trucks, trailers, tankers, combo units, and hydrovacs Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous goods in compliance with safety regulations Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Communicate clearly and effectively with dispatchers regarding schedules, routes, and site conditions Perform roadside repairs as needed to maintain safe and continuous operation Maintain and clean company equipment to ensure operational readiness What You Bring Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver's license (must be currently held) Minimum 2 years of experience operating Hydrovac, Combo units, or Wet Vac equipment Prior experience in heavy equipment and vehicle operation, maintenance, and repair Willingness to complete a background check, drug test, and physical Preferred Qualifications Experience transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste with familiarity in handling, loading, and safety protocols for hazardous materials Demonstrated ability to perform routine equipment maintenance and minor roadside troubleshooting Prior training or certifications relevant to heavy equipment operation and environmental/industrial services Work Environment Field-based role with outdoor work in varying weather conditions across northeastern BC Operation of heavy equipment in industrial and remote site settings Exposure to hazardous and non-hazardous materials requiring strict adherence to safety protocols Physically demanding work including lifting, bending, and extended periods of driving What We Offer Competitive compensation: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour Opportunities for overtime based on operational requirements Life insurance: $100,000 employee / $10,000 spouse / $5,000 per child AD&D insurance with critical illness and cancer coverage Extended health care: drugs, hospital, hearing, orthotics, nursing Paramedical services: chiro, physio, massage, mental health (annual coverage) Vision care: glasses, contacts, laser surgery, and exams Dental care: 80% basic ($2,500), 50% major ($2,500), $2,500 ortho for children Travel insurance: up to $5,000,000 per incident (trips up to 90 days) Ongoing training and career development support Apply now at www.grizzlytrekgroup.com Free AI Resume Enhancement Tool | AI Job Assistance available Powered by JazzHR
