What you will be doing:
Estimating & Costing
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for ICI construction projects
Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to develop accurate pricing
Develop estimates for labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and general conditions
Bid Management
Manage the full tendering process including subcontractor solicitation, bid leveling, and closing procedures
Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure full scope coverage
Cost Analysis & Strategy
Utilize historical data, market trends, and current pricing to improve estimate accuracy
Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving strategies to enhance bid competitiveness
Collaboration
Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Operations teams on project planning and budgeting
Support pre-construction activities including scope development and cost planning
Project Support
Assist with change orders, cost updates, and project handover documentation
Participate in estimate reviews, tender closings, and project debriefs
What you must have:
Minimum 3+ years of estimating experience within ICI construction (required)
Strong experience preparing estimates across commercial, institutional, and/or industrial projects
Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is an asset
Proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
Experience with Bluebeam, CAD, and digital takeoff software is considered an asset
Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and project sequencing
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
Valid driver’s license
Salary/Rate Range: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00
