Job Title: Panel TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Panel Technician responsible for panel wiring and assembly, documentation and SOP development, quality and testing, and collaboration and support within our team. This role requires adherence to high-quality standards and industry best practices while working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform wire harnessing, routing, labeling, and termination according to schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Fit, cut, drill, and mount buttons, switches, relays, terminal blocks, and other components inside control panels.
- Assemble and install wiring looms, cable trays, and protective coverings.
- Ensure all wiring meets internal quality standards and industry best practices.
- Work closely with engineers to develop, refine, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new projects.
- Provide feedback on manufacturability, wiring layout, and component placement.
- Assist in documenting build processes, wiring changes, and panel revisions.
- Perform continuity checks, point-to-point verification, and basic electrical testing.
- Inspect completed panels for accuracy, safety, and compliance.
- Troubleshoot wiring issues and support corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively with engineering, production, and quality teams.
- Support prototype builds and contribute to design improvements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Essential Skills- 4 years+ of control panel wiring experience.
- Electrical/Electronic Diploma/Degree.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding and ability to build schematics and SOPs.
- Knowledgeable with electricity and currents.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Electrical testing experience.
- Experience in production.
- Familiarity with blueprints, schematics, and micrometers.
