Role Description
The Junior Project Manager will support project planning and execution, coordinate schedules, liaise with stakeholders, and oversee project timelines and budget. Responsibilities include managing logistics, tracking project progress, expediting deliverables, and ensuring quality standards through inspections. The role involves both administrative and field-related tasks to ensure successful project completion within the agreed timeline and budget.

Safety Qualifications/ Certificates: Supervisor Awareness in 5 Basic Steps (as a minimum); WHIMS/ GHS 2105 (as a minimum); Working at Heights (recommended); Standard First Aid- AED (recommended); and Additional Office and Health & Safety training as required by Management. Job Description/ Responsibilities: Junior Project Management responsibilities, with 5+ years of Canadian ICI experience include: Experience with managing – Interior Fit-up, Big Box, Industrial, Storage and Manufacturing Facilities, from ground-up projects and new construction.
o Assist with Estimation process as required. Review and manage all project start-up and closing documents and drawings, plus budget, bi-monthly cost budget forecast and all required and regulated project documents, etc.
o Ensure the project is carried out on budget and schedule while meeting or exceeding the quality standards set out by Hady and the contract document(s)
o Ability to quickly identify problem situations, produce workable solutions and lead a large team to successful completion
o Plan, look ahead, schedule and endeavour to ensure that schedules are kept and the job is completed on time
o Ensure the work is performed in accordance with the drawings, specifications, budget and required building codes
o Review quality control of work performed by trades and quality assurance that work is as per drawings, specifications and budget
o Manage project items with the owner, design team, site superintendent, other designated team members, and authorities having jurisdiction
o Attend meetings with owner, architect, Hady team members, city inspectors, utility representatives, Ministry of Labour representatives and other project stakeholders
o Manage and ensure site superintendent is maintaining “As-Built” drawings, Daily Logs and Daily Safety Inspection Logs, Tickets and Purchase Orders as required. Along with Site Superintendent, ensure each project complies with all safety and security requirements while performing their work on site. Including the enforcement of Hady’s Health & Safety Policy, regular safety orientation, and any Ministry of Labour requirements
o Negotiate, plan, schedule, and manage contract requirements of owner and all trades
o Trouble shoot, resolve issues, problems, and conflicts when they arise
o Manage the project/site with transparency, reporting and communicating with the Site Superintendent and Director of Construction on a regular basis, ensuring all Hady processes and training are being met
o As required, arrange for regular testing and inspection for, and not limited to, footing bearing, concrete strength, structural steel and deck, roofing, etc. Arrange for municipal building inspections as required by code
o Manage and review inspections with inspectors and trades to complete milestone dates for substantial completion, occupancy and total completion. Manage and develop deficiency list and ensure all items are rectified
o Manage and approve project trades and supplier invoices, the purchase and ordering of approved materials for the job site
o Assist in closing permits, closing documents and releases of Letters of Credit and Deposits
o Other duties as assigned and/or required by the Director of Construction
