Job Description: Guidewire PolicyCenter QA Analyst Canada - Remote

Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain test strategy, test plans, and detailed test cases for Guidewire PolicyCenter features and configurations.
• Execute functional, regression, end-to-end, and integration testing across PolicyCenter and upstream/downstream systems.
• Validate integrations (REST/SOAP, messaging/event streams) and perform hands-on API testing to ensure contract and data integrity.
• Design and implement automated tests (UI/API) and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines to improve coverage and cycle time.
• Identify, triage, and document defects with clear reproduction steps; partner with engineering to drive resolution through to closure.
• Support cloud migration activities (e.g., Guidewire Cloud): validate environment readiness, smoke tests, cutover rehearsals, and post-migration verification.
• Perform data and reporting validation (SQL-based checks, reconciliation, sampling) and provide release readiness metrics and sign-off recommendations.
Position Requirements:
Candidate should possess 4+ years of QA/testing experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter (preferred) or ClaimCenter, including experience supporting cloud migration projects (e.g., Guidewire Cloud).
Qualifications:
• Strong experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter QA (functional, regression, integration/end-to-end testing); ClaimCenter experience a plus.
• Guidewire certification required (PolicyCenter and/or Guidewire Cloud); additional Guidewire certifications are an advantage.
• Strong understanding of insurance domain concepts, especially policy and claims
• Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman/SoapUI or similar) and validating PolicyCenter integrations.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation (Snowflake preferred) and experience validating event/message flows (Kafka or similar).
• Test automation experience (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, or Guidewire Test UI/GTUI); ability to build maintainable frameworks and reusable utilities.
• Proven experience on Guidewire cloud migration/upgrade initiatives, including cutover support and post-migration validation (smoke, regression, data reconciliation).
• Ability to work as both Test Lead and Tester, depending on project needs
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to support weekend on-call when required; ability to work independently in a cross-functional team environment.
• Experience with Guidewire digital/front-end platforms (e.g., Guidewire Digital/Portal) or low-code tools (e.g., OutSystems) is a plus.
• ISTQB (or equivalent) certification is an added advantage.
• Guidewire Cloud certification is preferred if not already held as part of the required Guidewire certification set.
