Job description

Position Scope

FPS Food Process Solutions is seeking an experienced Sales Manager for Germany to lead sales for our advanced industrial freezers and food-processing equipment. This role will promote FPS’s complete portfolio of freezing and food processing technologies to customers in key food industry sectors across Germany by engaging food manufacturers in the red meat, fish, poultry, bakery, ice cream, dairy, pet food, fruits and vegetables, and ready meal sectors.

This position is remote, based anywhere in Germany, with travel required.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Manage the complete sales cycle within Germany.
  • Identify new customers and market opportunities for FPS freezer and processing solutions.
  • Conduct customer visits, plant walkthroughs, and technical presentations.
  • Develop annual sales plans, forecasts, and territory strategies.

Customer Engagement

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with food manufacturers and regional partners.
  • Provide technical sales support and recommend equipment solutions based on customer needs.
  • Coordinate with FPS applications and engineering teams on proposals and quotations.

Market Strategy

  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends within Germany.
  • Represent FPS at trade shows, regional events, and industry associations.
  • Offer feedback to leadership and product development teams on market needs.

Qualifications & abilities

  • 5+ years of experience in capital equipment sales within the food processing industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of industrial freezers (IQF, spiral, tunnel, or impingement) and/or related food processing equipment.
  • Proven track record selling to food manufacturing customers in Germany.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in German and English (required).
  • Experience conducting plant visits, assessing production needs, and recommending technical solutions.
  • Background in engineering, business, food science, or related fields.
  • Established industry network in key food sectors as listed in job scope a major asset.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout Germany (50–70%).
  • Ability to work independently without supervision in a remote environment, managing a broad territory with strong self-motivation.
