About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead projects from initiation through to completion within the power and nuclear sector. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, budgeting, team coordination, and delivering projects aligned with client and business objectives.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, designers, procurement, construction specialists, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
As the primary client interface, you will manage project risks, oversee change control processes, and ensure compliance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. While this is not an engineering role, a solid understanding of engineering principles is essential to effectively manage technical scopes.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management (%)
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, scope, and deliverables
- Allocate resources and establish realistic timelines
- Monitor project performance, costs, risks, and KPIs
- Manage change control processes
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation and reports
- Ensure compliance with company, regulatory, and industry standards
- Manage contracts with vendors, contractors, and suppliers
- Lead electrical and multidisciplinary projects in power and nuclear environments
- Oversee teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient execution
- Track budgets and schedules throughout the project lifecycle
- Approve expenditures and invoices
- Promote a strong health & safety culture and report incidents as required
Project Administration (%)
- Support projects from concept through to final handover
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients
- Coordinate stakeholders to ensure delivery aligns with scope, schedule, budget, and safety
- Identify and manage project risks
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor financial performance and cost controls
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Lead meetings and provide project updates
- Mentor and guide project team members
- Support project closeout, including documentation and record turnover
- Assist with proposal preparation and client submissions
- Perform additional duties as required
Education & Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Business, Management, or a related field (preferred)
- PMP designation is an asset
- Engineering background is an asset but not required
- Practical understanding of engineering principles is required
Experience & Skills
- 6+ years of project management experience in power and/or nuclear projects
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and subcontractors
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera)
- Knowledge of power system engineering principles
- Experience managing budgets and project execution plans
- Experience preparing client proposals
