About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to provide electrical design and engineering support for nuclear generating station modification projects across Ontario, including Pickering, Darlington, and Bruce Power.
In this role, you will apply your technical expertise within a highly regulated nuclear environment, supporting the full engineering design lifecycle while ensuring compliance with strict quality assurance standards. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to both project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will be working within a governed nuclear design framework and will have the opportunity to complete formal training and qualification programs aligned with nuclear engineering standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Design (–%)
- Prepare engineering reports, specifications, and nuclear-compliant test plans
- Perform electrical calculations and technical analyses
- Develop and update drawings (schematics, wiring diagrams, CWDs, EWDs)
- Support testing, commissioning, and equipment qualification
- Review vendor documentation and technical packages
- Participate in design reviews and factory acceptance testing
Project Management (–%)
- Lead engineering tasks in alignment with nuclear QA, schedule, and budget
- Manage scope changes, timelines, and cost tracking
- Support project execution, forecasting, and reporting
Project Administration (–%)
- Support installation, commissioning, and project closeout activities
- Prepare and maintain documentation in compliance with nuclear QA standards
- Conduct field walkdowns and provide technical support and issue resolution
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
- Valid
- PMP designation (asset)
- Previous OPG clearance or nuclear site experience (asset)
- Experience with Asset Suite 9 (AS9) (asset)
- OPG engineering qualifications (DE, DTL, or MTL) considered an asset
Technical Expertise
- Experience in electrical design within nuclear or power environments
- Knowledge of nuclear engineering processes and governance frameworks
- Familiarity with CSA, IEEE, and Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) standards
- Understanding of nuclear QA programs such as CSA data-section-id="cfbwlk" data-start="0" data-end="1">Experience with Engineering Change (EC) processes and documentation
Experience & Skills
- 5– years of electrical engineering experience (nuclear experience preferred)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
- High attention to detail in regulated environments
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work in a hybrid office and site-based environment
- Willingness to travel to nuclear generating stations as required
