Details:External Posting # 25/26-276E - Strong Start FacilitatorDavid Hoy Elementary21 hours per week (schedule to be determined)Continuing position starting as soon as possibleSummary:The Strong Start Facilitator will concentrate on key aspects of family, literacy, numeracy, parent support and education, stages of early childhood development and community resource sharing.The intention of the program is that parents and caregivers will participate alongside their children in a purposeful, play based environment.Qualifications:Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)Certificate in Early Childhood EducationCommunity Care Facilities Branch BC License to practiceValid Child Safe First Aid Certificate6 months experience as a licensed Early Childhood Educator working with children in the 0-5 age range and their caregiversWHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety proceduresTo Apply:Complete/update your Make A Future portfolio. Criminal Record Checks through your local RCMP detachment will not be accepted. This process is done online and can be a timely process.
