Position Summary

:

Introduction to computer communication networks. The OSI reference model. Protocols for error and flow control, medium access protocols, routing and congestion control. Internet architecture and protocols and Unix network programming.

• Final exams will be in-person for all first and second-year courses (Lecture and Online)

Qualifications – Required: Applicants must possess a master’s degree in computer science or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Candidates are expected to demonstrate current engagement in scholarly or applied research, evidenced by recent publications in relevant areas of the discipline.

Qualifications – Areas of Specialization: The position is open to candidates across relevant subfields within the discipline, provided they meet the required academic and professional qualifications.

Qualifications – Discipline: The successful candidate must have an academic background in Computer Science or a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science), with clear relevance to the courses being taught.

Qualifications – Professional Designation: A recently completed PhD in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Candidates who are near completion of their doctoral studies may also be considered, particularly if they demonstrate strong research productivity and teaching potential.

Qualifications – Other: Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate:

• Subject-matter expertise aligned with the instructional needs of the program
• Teaching experience at the post-secondary level or evidence of strong teaching capability
• Industry experience, which is considered an asset and may enhance applied learning and curriculum relevance
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage diverse learners

Salary: $9,316.88
