PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) is a General Partnership of Alberici, Amico, Kenaidan, and Obayashi, supported by design partners Egis, Mott MacDonald, and Weston Williamson + Partners. Together, we are delivering Accelerator, a major program of Pearson LIFT (Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson's infrastructure development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canadas largest airport for the future of air travelincluding critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience.

The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and comprehensive electrical cost estimates in support of the PACT program. This role supports estimating, budgeting, and cost planning activities across multiple Sub-Programs, contributing to Target Price development, change pricing, and procurement strategies within a highly regulated, live airport environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for infrastructure and building works, including power distribution, lighting, controls, communications, and specialized systems
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to develop quantity take-offs and pricing
• Support Target Price development, cost plans, and budget updates across PACT Sub-Programs
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, commercial, and procurement teams to validate scope, constructability, and assumptions
• Solicit, evaluate, and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Assist with value engineering, cost optimization, and risk/opportunity identification
• Prepare estimate summaries, backup documentation, and supporting narratives
• Support change order pricing, cost analysis, and forecast updates during project delivery
• Maintain estimating databases, historical cost data, and benchmarking information
• Participate in internal reviews, governance approvals, and client submissions as required

WORK CONDITIONS

The position will be based at our offices in Mississauga, Ontario, with regular visits to the site offices as required. This position is 5 days per week with core hours of work between approximately 8:00am5:00pm with 1 hour Lunch or as agreed upon with your manager. All employees must complete a RAIC and Criminal background check.

DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES

• Strong understanding of electrical construction systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, controls, and low-voltage systems
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Experience preparing estimates for complex infrastructure or institutional projects
• Knowledge of construction sequencing, installation methods, and productivity rates
• Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum 58 years of experience in electrical estimating for infrastructure, industrial, or commercial construction projects
• Experience with large, complex, or multi-disciplinary projects is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with public-sector or regulated infrastructure projects is an asset
• Knowledge of Canadian electrical codes and standards
• Experience working within joint venture or large program environments is considered an asset
