Nanny Wanted - Experienced Nanny/Caregiver Needed In St. Catharines, Ontario

Hello,

I am looking for a part-time nanny / caregiver for my four year old son, Casey. I am looking for someone who can provide a long-term commitment (1.5-3 years). I need coverage for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 : 30am until 5pm (7.5 hours per day for 3 days per week - 22.5 hours per week). The ideal person for this role is someone who can play with him, and take him out to explore, while also supporting boundary-learning, emotional regulation, and fostering new experiences and socialization.

Casey loves to play, loves to be outside, takes some time to warm up to new things and new people, and he is so curious about other children; although he tends to prefer playing with older children when available. Casey’s fear emotion needs extra tender, loving care - he is a sensitive child.

Casey will not be attending school this September. His school start date is dependent on several factors, however we are big proponents of unschooling and homeschooling. We follow his lead with his interests, and try to expose him to a lot of different things. Our educational philosophies include : Montessorie, Waldorf, and Forest School ideals. I would like you to support that, as well as our parenting philosophy : collaborative, respectful and non-coercive parenting.

Finally, I would like you to be able to prepare lunch and snacks for Casey in the future (after the first month). Nothing really complicated, as he can be picky. Child CPR is something I deem necessary. First aid is preferred, only. I would like you to plan to take him to EarlyON programs, and the library, as examples. We can discuss transportation via the bus or if you have a car and feel comfortable driving him (we can discuss comfort-level and our purchase of a car seat). Also, just so you are aware in case of allergies / preferences, we have 3 indoor cats.
