Job description

Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a dynamic and innovative Community Engagement Manager for our Media & Entertainment (M&E) industry to help drive growth through meaningful engagement, advocacy, and authentic human experiences. This pivotal role will partner with our M&E industry team to align community initiatives with business objectives, leveraging creators, influencers, and user-generated content to amplify narratives and deliver impactful industry experiences. You will serve as the bridge across Community, Industry Marketing and Content Studio, ensuring unified efforts and impactful storytelling deliver meaningful results.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the M&E industry team to design and implement a results-driven community strategy and roadmap that accelerates industry engagement and growth. Develop and implement engagement initiatives that leverage emerging AI/LLM trends to foster, grow, and support a vibrant community of creators and influencers

  • Drive the creation, curation, and management of content including user-generated content (UGC), to strengthen engagement and stewardship across the Community ecosystem

  • Build a robust network of influencers, creators, and industry experts. Launch and manage structured programs (e.g., ambassador cohorts, Expert Elites, beta testers) to drive engagement and meaningful contributions. Activate creators for credible stories, tutorials, discussions, and AMAs, spotlighting expert voices through repeatable formats like case studies and live events expanding our footprint across owned and 3rd party platforms where our customers naturally engage such as Reddit, Discord, and other platforms

  • Create frameworks that measure influence, credibility, advocacy, and sentiment across industry segments and provide monthly insights to stakeholders, identifying emerging trends and opportunities

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in community management, social engagement, or digital content roles within Media & Entertainment, gaming, animation, or related creative industries

  • Demonstrated ability to create, curate, and manage content across community platforms, including forums, social channels, and UGC-driven‑ environments

  • Hands-on experience moderating and engaging communities on platforms such as Discord, Reddit, LinkedIn, and proprietary community ecosystems

  • Strong understanding of creative pipelines and artist workflows, with the ability to translate community needs and insights into actionable content strategies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to cultivate inclusive, respectful, and high-t‑rust online communities

  • Deep knowledge of digital communities, UGC ecosystems, and creator economy‑ dynamics

  • Proven leadership in building and scaling community programs, ideally within M&E or creator-focused environments

  • Expertise in multi-platform community engagement, including strategies for Reddit, Discord, LinkedIn, and emerging niche platforms

  • Experience activating influencers, creators, and industry experts to drive authentic advocacy and participation

  • Ability to build brand advocacy and positive sentiment through credible, community-centered interactions

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building, with the ability to connect people, ideas, and innovation through compelling narratives

  • Insight-driven mindset, turning community signals into scalable, human-centered strategies

  • Agility and a growth mindset, thriving in fast-paced environments and new program development

  • Results-oriented approach, delivering measurable impact aligned with business and industry objectives

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $92,000 and $126,500. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
