Position Title: Shipping Coordinator
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm (T2P)
Location: Richmond, BC
Hours of Work: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate - $24 an hour
About Our Client
Our client is a well-established organization operating in a manufacturing and technical environment. They are known for their commitment to quality, safety, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, completeness, and condition
- Record and update inventory in the ERP system
- Sort, label, and organize received goods for storage or processing
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits
- Pick, pack, and prepare outbound orders for shipment
- Create shipping labels and related documentation
- Communicate effectively with carriers and internal stakeholders
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and pallet stackers safely
- Perform routine equipment checks to ensure proper functioning
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
Additional Responsibilities:
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures
- Comply with regulatory requirements for handling and shipping goods
- Handle hazardous materials safely and appropriately
- Provide status updates to management as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping/receiving and warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with international shipping and exports
- Experience working with ERP systems
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills
- Close attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to perform basic numerical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
