We are committed to delivering high-quality products and services to our customers. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated CMM Quality Inspector to join our team and support our growing operations.
The CMM Quality Inspector is responsible for performing dimensional inspections of precision-machined aerospace components, primarily landing gear parts, using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other advanced inspection tools. Working within a highly regulated aerospace environment, the role ensures that all products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards (AS9102, NADCAP, OEM requirements).
The incumbent plays a critical role in first article inspection (FAI), in-process inspection, and final inspection, supporting production, engineering, and quality teams to maintain the highest levels of product conformity, traceability, and safety.
Role and Responsibilities
Perform in-process, final and receiving inspections of aircraft landing gear components while maintaining quality records and measuring equipment.
Program complex parts using CMM with COSMOS software - Establish CMM program controls, setup sheets, tooling control, and file security.
Inspect products using CMM in accordance with our quality system procedures.
Provide assistance to inspectors using the programmable CMM as necessary.
Perform inspection of precision parts and assemblies to customer drawings and specifications (using tools such as calipers, height gauges, plug gauges, CMM’s, micrometers).
Document inspection results by completing reports and logs including nonconformity report.
Perform first article inspection on parts, components, sub-assemblies and assemblies to AS9102 requirements.
Interpret drawings including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal provincial and federal regulations.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
Accomplish quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

. Minimum 5 years prior experience as Quality Inspector in the Aerospace manufacturing sector.
• Technical training and proficiency with COSMOS and PCDMIS CMM software
• 2 years prior experience in operating a CMM machine.
• Ability to read blueprint drawings and specifications
• Certificate in Quality Assurance/Quality Technician preferred
• Proficiency in basic office software.
• Be familiar with and able to read and interpret drawings and engineering specification.
• Knowledge of geometrical tolerance and dimensional measurements per ASME Y14.5.
• Knowledge of First Article Inspection process and utilization of AS9102 forms.
• Knowledge of acceptance test procedures (ATP), acceptance test reports (ATR), job travelers (process plans), pick lists, blueprints, certifications of conformance, chemical and physical analysis reports and test reports.
• Knowledge of quality management system requirements per SAE AS9100.
• Knowledge of AQL sampling selection per internal procedures or ANSI/ASQC Z1.4.
• Experience in quality inspection, such as Model Based Definition system.
• Knowledge of FAA, EASA and Transport Canada certification requirements.
