Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Master’s or Ph.D. program (Preference to Doctoral, then Master’s)
- Minimum overa
- ll standing: B+ (or equivalent).
- Overall academic performance at B+ and above
- Strong foundation in Statistics and Probability
- Background in computer science or a closely related field
- Proficiency in R and Python programming
- Practical skills in data visualization using Tableau or equivalent tools.
- Evidence of applied projects focused on with statistical and analytics tools, and Python programming
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure virtual machines or labs.
- Previous performance evaluation as a Teaching/Graduate Assistant at a University, if applicable.
Applicants not registered as TMU students will be considered if no qualified TMU student is available.
Attendance: GA must attend all lab sessions held by the designated instructor and be fully prepared.
Salary & Compensation
September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025
Master - $49.93 per hour
PhD - $53.91 per hour
September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026
Master - $51.17 per hour
PhD - $55.26 per hour
Conferring with SUP Instructor
Coordination - 2 Hours: Plan, prepare, and meet with the instructor (lab prep, grading rubrics, alignment with course outcomes).
Superv/Monitoring labs/Demos
Lab Support - 18 Hours: Attend 12 lab sessions and actively demonstrate tools, participate in student discussions, and support technical procedures, lab tutorials, and live-session activities.
Marking assignments/lab report
Grading - 18 Hours: Grade assignments in terms of the course rubric; assess process and findings; provide feedback on all rubric criteria and return marks within the timeframe specified by course policy.
Other Duties
Discussion Board - 5 Hours: Monitor and participate in the online course shell; address student concerns and questions thoroughly, and provide complete, timely replies in line with course policy.
Review Sessions - 2 Hours: Conduct one 2-hour or two 1-hour review sessions (for mid-term and/or final).
