Job description
I’m looking for a reliable, detail-oriented housekeeper for my 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo near Eglinton Avenue East and the DVP. This is a long-term weekly role for someone consistent, trustworthy, and comfortable working independently. Home Details: 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo 2 small, friendly, non-shedding dogs (no pet care required, just awareness they are in the home) Duties include: - Bathroom cleaning (full standard cleaning of toilet, sink, tub/shower, and floors) - Kitchen cleaning (counters, sink, appliance surfaces, and cupboard fronts) - Dusting and wiping surfaces in living and dining areas (coffee table, shelves, TV stand, etc.) - Tidying bedrooms and general living spaces Sweeping and mopping floors - Folding laundry and changing bed linens (no laundry washing required) Light tidying and organizing as needed Occasional tasks: - Light cupboard organization - Wiping interior doors and high-touch surfaces - Cleaning sliding glass doors - Front door and entry frame cleaning Optional future scope (not immediate): Once there is consistency and mutual comfort, the role may expand to include light meal planning and cooking support. This could include suggesting weekly meal ideas, creating a simple meal plan, providing a grocery list for approval, and preparing meals in-home once ingredients are provided. At the start, the role is focused entirely on housekeeping. Schedule: Minimum 3 hours per week. Usually 3–5 hours depending on the week Preferred weekday daytime hours (especially Thursday or Friday) No evenings Supplies: All cleaning supplies are provided. Only gloves are required. Pay: $25/hour Work environment: I work from home, so I will be present during visits but focused on work. The role is independent and task-focused, and I am generally available if anything is needed. Requirements: Experience in residential housekeeping preferred References required Background check preferred or available upon request Comfortable working independently and following established routines Ideal candidate: Reliable, consistent, and detail-oriented, with experience maintaining private homes and comfort working independently in a task-focused environment.
