Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Job Description
Join a leading manufacturing company with a global presence, specializing in industrial-sized wheels for mining vehicles. As a Shipper/Receiver, you will play a crucial role in the warehouse operations at our Langley facility, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to move heavy steel products throughout the production shop, yard, and warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and equipment following safe handling procedures.
- Operate equipment safely in adverse conditions, maintaining environmental awareness and hazard recognition.
- Refuel propane-powered forklifts and handle propane cylinders safely, with certification required.
- Recharge electric forklifts following correct charging procedures and station safety protocols, with certification required.
- Pick, package, and stage parts for inventory storage, onsite manufacturing, intercompany branch transfers, and export shipments.
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move heavy steel components safely.
- Use proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment to manage loads over 50 lbs.
- Ensure materials are handled, staged, and stored in a manner that protects product integrity and prevents damage, with clear labeling and placement.
- Maintain clear aisles, safe stacking heights, and housekeeping standards to reduce risk and improve flow.
- Load and unload shipments from commercial transport vehicles, including dry vans, flat decks, and sea containers.
- Ensure all materials are secured and handled safely during loading/unloading.
- Perform receiving duties, including verifying materials against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, and processing documentation and updating system records.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years experience in a warehouse
- 2+ years of experience on a SDCB forklift
- Experience in an industrial shop
- Strong computer/ERP skills
- Strong English communication skills
- Experience in inventory management and cycle counts
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift certification is nice to have.
- Experience lifting heavy steel with a forklift is advantageous.

Work Environment
The Langley facility is currently consolidating operations, and you will work exclusively here as part of a warehouse team of 8-10 members. The work environment is family-based and focuses on personal development. The AM shift runs from 7:30 am to 4:05 pm, Monday to Friday, with breaks including one 15-minute and one 30-minute lunch break. Enjoy a wage progression based on time, hours worked, and training, with the potential to earn up to $29 in a couple of years and 30+ for leads.
