Operations Coordinator (Logistics / Trucking)

We are hiring an experienced Operations Coordinator to support daily logistics and trucking operations. This role is responsible for driver coordination, scheduling, E-log compliance (Geotab), dispatching, and tracking truck activity.

The ideal candidate has experience in logistics, transportation, trucking, or shop operations and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Full-Time | On-Site

A reliable car is required (location is not accessible by public transit)

Salary & Benefits:

• $55,000 – $60,000 per year (based on experience)
• Benefits available after successful completion of probation

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage E-logs (Geotab) to ensure driver compliance and efficiency
• Coordinate driver schedules and dispatch trucks based on operational needs
• Communicate with drivers, shop staff, and management throughout the day
• Track and record truck activity, equipment usage, and daily operations
• Maintain and organize shop paperwork and maintenance schedules
• Respond to emails and support daily operations coordination
• Troubleshoot issues in real time and keep operations running smoothly
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflow efficiency

Requirements:

• Experience in logistics, transportation, trucking, or operations coordination
• Familiarity with E-log systems (Geotab preferred)
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and take initiative

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the trucking industry or dispatching: 1 to 2 years of experience
• Background in a shop environment or heavy equipment operations
• Knowledge of recycling yard operations
• Experience using AI tools to improve efficiency
