Skilled Onboard Installation Welder for Innovative Transit Systems

This position involves working closely with installation supervisors, project managers, and design teams to ensure the successful installation of advanced transit technology. You'll be responsible for performing MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various metals while adhering to safety and engineering standards. Key Responsibilities :

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on metals
• Inspect welds for quality and accuracy
• Collaborate on installation projects with various teams
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance
• Assist with mechanical installations and retrofits

Requirements :

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar
• OSSD or equivalent is necessary
• Certification from a Welder Apprenticeship Program preferred
• Valid CSA W47.1 ticket from CWB is an asset
• Experience with heavy vehicle mechanical systems recommended
