What we are looking for:
Under the supervision of the Manager, Client Experience, Institutional Markets, depending on the experience and expertise, the role involves overseeing the day-to-day management and operations of key relationships with major financial intermediaries. The incumbent works closely with senior managers to integrate their expertise into existing relationships and support their strategic initiatives. They are also responsible for managing a portfolio of smaller intermediary clients, ensuring strong relationships tailored to their specific needs.
The role includes identifying cross-selling opportunities and collaborating with investment teams to drive growth in assets under management. It also involves supporting business development activities and contributing to institutional initiatives. Strong internal collaboration is essential, along with active involvement in building and maintaining business relationships, both internally and externally, to support strategic and professional development.
Your responsibilities:
Maintain expert knowledge on the specific characteristics and features of the various portfolios for which the team is responsible, with a view to responding promptly and effectively to any client requests for data;
Prepare, coordinate and ensure timely delivery of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly deliverables for accounts that fall under the team’s responsibility;
Oversee the opening of new accounts by coordinating the implementation of new portfolios with the relevant departments (portfolio administration, compliance, portfolio managers, performance). Able to handle and take the lead on client transitions and onboardings with increasing complexity;
Facilitate modifications in investment policies for each account (update appropriate systems, advise and follow-up with the Compliance department);
Able to navigate complex situations through collaboration with others and a continuous improvement mindset
Coordinate effective cash management activities (cash inflows/outflows) with appropriate internal departments;
Coordinate with internal operations teams on any operation issues projects (ex: trade support, cash admin, transition team, etc.);
Prepare custom periodic client reports and commentaries for Financial Intermediary client;
Record and update client contacts and other related information in appropriate CRM system;
Build presentations and prepare documents for client meetings as required;
Participate and lead client meetings with Intermediary clients as required;
Collaborate with other members of the team on common projects (special events, process enhancements, internal investment review calls etc.);
Work in close collaboration with investment teams on strategic client initiatives and business development activities.
Must have requirements to be successful in this role:
Bachelor’s degree required
CFA obtained or in progress preferred
2 - 4 years of industry experience preferably within a team of institutional client services, financial advisors, or consultant relations
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, fluently both in French and English;
Exemplary service orientation and sound judgment;
Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining high degree of accuracy and attention to details;
Autonomous, innovative, proactive and sense of urgency;
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook);
Knowledge of Bloomberg, Morningstar, Salesforce or Evestment is an asset.
Thorough knowledge of the financial industry and of investment portfolios and products;
Outstanding attention to detail and ability to stay organized
Strong desire and capacity to learn
Ability to work collaboratively across a growing, entrepreneurial firm
